Caribbean islands have reopened to international tourism. Most islands have dropped pre-arrival Covid testing for vaccinated travelers, but regulations are still particularly varied when it comes to entry protocols for unvaccinated travelers.
Here are the latest developments for travel from the U.S. to each Caribbean country. To make this information easier to understand, we are segmenting each entry into entry-requirement information for vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers and specific rules for children.
A negative Covid test is no longer required for all travelers to enter the U.S.
Anguilla: open to vaccinated travelers

Vaccinated travelers:
Must present proof of vaccination status and a negative PCR test result taken within three days of travel or a rapid antigen test done within two days of travel. Travelers who have been vaccinated for more than six months prior to travel but have not had booster dose are subject to testing upon arrival at their own expense ($50).
Unvaccinated adults:
Not allowed to enter.
Children:
Unvaccinated minors under 5 must be accompanied by fully vaccinated travelers.

As of Aug. 8, Anguilla plans to drop pre-arrival testing requirements for vaccinated travelers. Unvaccinated travelers will be able to enter as of Aug. 8, but they must present a negative PCR test taken within three days of arrival.
Antigua and Barbuda: Open to vaccinated travelers

Vaccinated travelers:
All travelers 18 and over must be fully vaccinated. No pre-entry Covid test required. Must complete a health declaration form upon arrival.
Unvaccinated adults:
Not permitted entry.
Children:
Unvaccinated minors (5-18) must present a negative PCR test result done within four days of arrival. Children under 5 do not require any test.
Aruba: Open to vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers

All travelers:
Travelers no longer need to present a negative Covid test or proof of vaccination. Visitors must fill out Aruba’s Embarkation/Debarkation Card and answer questions about their recent health. Aruba requires the purchase of visitor insurance as part of the arrival form.
Bahamas: open to vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers

Show proof of vaccination.
Unvaccinated travelers:
Travelers ages 2 and over must present proof of RT-PCR test taken within three days of arrival.
Children:
Children under 2 years are exempt from test requirements.
Barbados: open to vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers

Vaccinated travelers:
No Covid test needed for entry. Must download BMISafe app and complete travel form with vaccination proof within 24 hours of arrival.
Unvaccinated travelers:
Must produce a negative PCR or antigen test done within three days of arrival and download the BMI Safe app. Must be tested on arrival. If positive, the traveler must quarantine until a negative result is obtained.
Children:
Unvaccinated travelers under the age of 18 are allowed to enter if accompanied by vaccinated parents/guardians; travelers under 5 are not subject to testing requirements.
Bermuda: open to vaccinated travelers

Vaccinated travelers:
Visitors 2 and older must provide proof of vaccination, negative antigen result taken within two days of arrival or PCR result within four days of arrival. This information must be uploaded to traveler authorization form 24 to 48 hours before arrival; the fee is $40.
Unvaccinated travelers:
Not permitted entry.
Children:
Visitors age 2 and over need to provide a test as stated above.
Bonaire: Open to vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers

British Virgin Islands: Open to vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers

Unvaccinated travelers 12 and over are not permitted to enter except those who have close ties to Cayman residents. No entry tests are required, but they must quarantine for seven days.

Cuba: Open to vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers

Proof of vaccination and pre-entry Covid test no longer required. Travelers are subject to random testing upon arrival and, if positive, must quarantine in a government facility or hospital for 14 days at own expense.
Children:
12 and under are exempt from vaccination and PCR test.

Curacao: Open to vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers

Once the passenger locator card is received via email, travelers should bring digital or printed copy with them.
Dominica: open to vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers

Show proof of vaccination prior to boarding flight to Dominica and on arrival. No pre-arrival form or testing required.
Unvaccinated travelers:

Visitors 12 and under will assume the status of parents or guardian.
Dominican Republic: Open to vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers

St. Kitts and Nevis: open to vaccinated travelers

Vaccinated travelers:
Must complete a travel authorization form and include proof of vaccination and a negative RT-PCR test result taken within 72 hours of travel or a rapid antigen test taken within 24 hours of travel. The form must be submitted no later than 24 hours prior to travel. Must book at travel-approved accommodations on St. Kitts and Nevis.
Unvaccinated travelers:
Entry not permitted for unvaccinated travelers 17 and older.
Children:
Children 17 and under traveling with fully vaccinated parents or guardians must have a negative RT-PCR test.
St. Lucia: open to vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers

Vaccinated travelers:
Bring proof of vaccination to check-in, boarding and entry to St. Lucia. No pre-entry Covid test or online pre-registration required.
Unvaccinated travelers:
All those 5 and older who are not vaccinated must submit results of a negative PCR test within five days of travel. Must stay in Covid-certified accommodations for duration of their visit.
Children:
Unvaccinated children ages 5 to 17 traveling with vaccinated family members must be tested on arrival and remain in quarantine until negative test result is received.
St. Maarten/St. Martin: open to vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers

Vaccinated travelers:
No test result required for entry for those vaccinated and those who have recovered from Covid in the past nine months.
Unvaccinated travelers:
Provide results of a negative PCR test result taken 48 hours prior to arrival or an antigen test taken 24 hours before arrival.
Children:
Children 5 and over who are not fully vaccinated must show results of a negative RT-PCR test taken within 48 hours of arrival.

The health authorization form (Electronic Health Authorization System-EHAS) is required for all travelers and must be submitted within 72 hours of arrival. Effective Aug. 1, vaccinated travelers filling out the EHAS form receive immediate pre-approval once the form is filled out in its entirety. The St. Maarten SXM Protection Plan is mandatory for all travelers. Plan rate varies depending on the traveler’s age and covers hospital costs, ICU costs, doctor consultation, Covid tests and medical evacuation, if necessary.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines

Vaccinated travelers:
Complete the pre-arrival form, show proof of vaccination and results of rapid antigen test result taken within 24 hours of arrival or PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival. No test or quarantine on arrival.
Unvaccinated travelers:
Must show proof of a negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours of arrival, may be retested upon arrival and must quarantine in a Tourism Approved/Ministry of Health approved accommodation at their own expense and may be retested during quarantine.
Children:
Travelers under 18 may follow the protocol of vaccinated adult or family member.
Turks and Caicos: Open to vaccinated travelers

Vaccinated travelers:
An entry test, proof of insurance or information for the TCI Assured portal are no longer required. Travelers are required to show proof of vaccination.
Unvaccinated travelers:
Visitors 16 and older who are not vaccinated will not be permitted entry.
Children:
Unvaccinated children under 16 accompanied by vaccinated family members are allowed to enter.
Trinidad and Tobago: Open to vaccinated travelers

Vaccinated travelers:
Must show proof of vaccination on arrival. The TTravel Pass requirement has been discontinued.
Unvaccinated travelers:
Must produce a negative PCR or antigen test taken within 48 hours of arrival.
Children:
16 and over follow protocols of vaccinated travelers; 15 and under traveling with vaccinated adults are exempt from pre-arrival testing.
U.S. Virgin Islands: Open to vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers
